Grenada

Columbella mercatoria
On my first trip to Grenada last year, the group had success in spite of the weather: it was the only trip I've ever taken when it rained 6 of our 7 days! We had a great time, however, and snorkeled successfully for a variety of shells, including volutes, vasum, and Pugilina morio. To view photos of some of the living shells go to Past Trips - Living Shell Photos - Other islands of the Caribbean and Bahamas.

I can't wait to get back and visit this delightful island again. Why don't you come along with me?

  • A country town Grenada is a delightful island, with friendly, smiling people (who speak English) and beautiful mountain- and ocean-sided villages. There are enough modern stores to make us feel comfortable but not so many tourists that we feel overwhelmed. Colorful, prosperous-looking houses line the roads which are often decorated with walls painted in red, yellow and green, the national colors. Now and again there are vendors who have a few shells or spices for sale, but mostly the towns are tourist- free.

Ready to go? Fill out the reservation form and send a deposit. I will send a list of items to bring about 6 weeks before the trip.
